What we will cover:
- Foundations: In Module 1 we will discuss the foundations of anaphylaxis including what is anaphylaxis, how is it triggered and how is it mediated.
- Pathophysiology: In Module 2 we will discuss the pathophysiology of anaphylaxis, exploring the main four pathways and processes.
- Diagnosis: In Module 3 we will discuss how to diagnose anaphylaxis and differentiate it from a simple allergic reaction and our other differential diagnoses.
- Management: In Module 4 we will comprehensively cover the various aspects of the management of anaphylaxis, including the 7-step process, necessary equipment, and special considerations such as children, pregnant patients, and cardiac arrests.
- Case studies: In Module 5 we will discuss 19 real case studies, mostly of anaphylaxis, but with simple allergy and the relevant differential diagnoses as well.

About me
I am Dr Sue Flanagan an I have over 40 years of experience in cardiac stress testing and 12 years of managing anaphylaxis in a radiology setting. Since 1984, I have taught basic CPR to doctors, including specialists and general practitioners, as well as to allied health professionals and the general public. Additionally, I have been teaching anaphylaxis management as a dedicated course since 2012.
